BHUMC Social Justice and Action Group
Social justice is "a concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society, as measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities for personal activity, and social privileges".
Social justice principles refer to values “that favor measures that aim at decreasing or eliminating inequity; promoting inclusiveness of diversity; and establishing environments that are supportive of all people.” The social justice principles include: equity, diversity and supportive environments
Our Mission: To help in supporting the underprivileged, those who are less understood and those who are less respected in our community, state, country and world through action.
Jesus tells his followers and all who would listen that whatever they do for “one of the least of these,” they do for him
All our welcome who believe it is our responsibility to go forth in action, seeking justice.
